Beaches / Beachcombing in Ucluelet BC

The majority of the beaches in Ucluelet are in there natural state with trees and forest bordering the beach line.  Ucluelet beaches offer fantastic beach combing at low tide, Big Beach has a rocky section that makes for amazing tidal pools for the kids to explore.  Florencia and Wick Beach are fabulous for surfing and beach walks, if your more of a private person and would prefer to not be part of a resorts view then these beaches are perfect surrounded by old growth forest!

      Little Beach

Little beach is located right in the heart of Ucluelet and is a great beach for young kids to play in the water. This beach is also a prime spot to launch a kayak as it's well protected yet very close to the open Pacific!

        Big Beach

Big beach is the most central beach in Ucluelet bordered by trails and massive old growth trees this sandy bay is a fantastic place to hand out with the family. There is a covered eating area and BBQ pit!

      Florencia Bay

Florencia Bay is as beautiful as it gets, the beach is in it's natural state and the surf is great.  This beach is located in the National park so it is not lined with resorts, you are definitely in the center mother natures play ground!

Wick Beach as it's called by locals is a great surfing beach because of consistent surf that is present.  This beach stretches for miles definitely a surfer's paradise, the beach is lined by old growth trees in the heart of mother nature!

Long Beach BC, Canada is located in the Pacific Rim National Park, Long beach is approximately located midway between Ucluelet and Tofino.  This beach is shared by both towns and is a great place to learn how to surf, there is lots of parking with multiple lots.  During the summer months Long beach is very busy so if your looking for a wave all to yourself you may want to consider Florencia or Wick beach. The beach is one of the longest and should you walk it south bound you can make it to Wick beach but you better make sure you have good comfortable walking shoes as you will be walking on sand all day!
